covid-19 & 1% club

If you are critical about how things happen and believe that phenomena is not just a coincidence, take a few minutes to read this one. The views expressed in here are mine.

Indeed, the world is ran by 1% club of a capitalist cult, it speaks a global language that it understands – $$$$. The club will most likely use this pandemic to change the world order and bring a new economic system that works in its favour; one that will benefit them the most, even when it comes to selling vaccines. What’s the evidence?

By the time Corona happened, we were chasing Huduma number here in Kenya, a national identification system powered by mastercard, one that will most likely earn you loyalty points for being a “good taxpaying or crime free citizen”. Indeed, we all move to become assets of taxation, where we calculate a child’s debt even before its born. Asset tagging.

We have just increased our cashless transactions abilities, anyone hiding money under their pillow will soon find it very useless – even after the pandemic – we ain’t going back to cash, there is no incentive. Soon, we will tigthen our surveillance systems to ensure more compliance, robbing people off privacy and more rights. If you remember, we recently wanted a centralized CCTV system that connects to a national grid – including domestic cameras.

Recently we completed a demonization excercise here in Kenya, we changed currency and now suddenly we have KES 7 Billion to pump back into the economy. We have moved on, without questioning how exactly a system we trusted in its appointments and systems, allowed such to happen.

Yesterday, a government was keen to announce that 4G network will be made available across the country, not food or water and sanitation facilities for the slums. Why? Move and lock down the tax paying “middle class” into the digital economy first, and have the revenue authority monitor and severely punish those that default.

On the other hand, the shrewd/young politicians are fighting to get into the 1% club in the name of hustling and they have won public sympathy again. They have drugged the peasants with populist promises like laptops for children, increased support for church/religion, and installed a corrupt police and mighty military to keep peasants properly controlled.

Both those who are in the club and those who want to join the club don’t care for the people at the bottom of the social pyramid, they are entries into a bad experiment – their death doesn’t mean much unless it’s at genocidal level; remember in 2017 elections people including baby Pendo died and we moved on to BBI, and anytime there is a likely uprising we are always reminded of 2007 post election violence and the Rwanda genocide.

We have and will continue witnessing countless unresolved assassinations – some serving as collateral damage while others will silence intellectuals, thinkers, and activists who speak out their minds or threaten the system from happening. Our Ugandan liberation brothers and sisters going through such a rough time. People. Power.

Staying home on lock down is like house arrest in not so many words, a state of emergency that will allow the 1% to pump all the fear they want while it lasts. The 1% club will slowly roll out a system that befits their interest, one that won’t change much after the pandemic is gone and for those that remain.

By the time we get out of this, we will have a new world economic order, and various liberties will have been rolled back. We will become tax paying machines, robots whose core purpose in life is to consume more and more to keep the capitalist club running.

How the World Will Look After the Coronavirus Pandemic

Our hope perharps lies in perfecting our arts and culture, our music, food and all forms of creative expression. This will be the only way we can remember ourselves, maintain some power, share a meal without fear, speak in a language we understand, call ourselves to party and peace when the world out there is burning under a 1% capitalist club that doesn’t care for arts or culture.
